Ootd re-use: owl shirt and faux leather leggings

Posted by Amanda Villaruel | |
I de-cluttered my wardrobe this weekend and "old" clothes were brought to life by actually wearing them.
Outfit of the week: faux leather leggings
Ootd re-use

The owl shirt on the other hand is new from Zara. I'm trying to stay away from fast fashion stores like Zara, but some times it's not easy. I'm on a low budget these days because I'm saving for an apartment nest year.

Leather is a must this season, whether it's leather jackets or leather pants.

Who cares about the trends! Today I went for faux leather (vegan) leggings with a discreet snake print. I bought them four years ago and I still love these leggings, because they're comfortable and give my outfit a luxurious edge. I've actually worn them at the office!

Some people would probably have frowned upon wearing 'leather' leggings at a regular office job, but if you manage to dress down the rest of the outfit, it won't look like you're having a cocktail any minute on the job.

I'm a firm believer that there must be a way to combine your personal style and work attire, and avoid 'losing yourself' in clothes you normally don't wear.

The ankle boots from the Spanish brand Sixtyseven are very popular, and the pair I'm wearing has a beautiful black shine (bought in 2013).

I have four pairs from Sixtyseven, and must say that I'm generally impressed by the quality of the shoes considering the price. There was some problems with the heels on the first pair - a couple of black ankle boots - that I bought in 2011. At the shop they replaced the old heels with new ones - without questions. Since then I haven't had any problems with the heels ;-)

I like Sixtyseven for many reasons. To mention some of them, I like the design, and secondly the quality overall matches the price. Thirdly and most importantly, I like the concept of Sixtyseven - delivering fashionable shoes, but targeted at young customers who are not interested in blindly following trends. Their ankle boots are classic and can be worn year after year.

If you're considering purchasing a pair of low-cut boots from this Spanish brand, I can tell you that the size is normal.

If you regularly use say, size 37, you can order a pair in 37.  Have in mind though that if you have "broad" feet, they might squeeze on the sides to begin with. But once you have broken them in, they're a lot more comfortable.
